Truly wacky month with birthdays, holidays, and some book touring. Found a quiet moment over the weekend to catch not one but TWO excellent films – Todd Haynes’ May December and Miyazaki’s The Boy and The Heron. We got TWO reasons to run, not walk to the theater!! Recency bias? Maybe! But it was cool to see two masterpieces, on da big screen, in like a 30 hour span. Movies: they’re back, baby!
If you’ve got a few bucks to spare, maybe toss them to the Palestinian Journalists' Syndicate via the IFJ safety fund? Just write “PJS-2023” in the comment box.

I’m still in damn BOOK TOUR mode! Thank you to everyone who came out in St. Louis and Atlanta. I had a really good time in both places! Crucially, I found a gay bar in Atlanta that was 1) in a shack and 2) the shack was in a parking lot. This is innovation an I really do appreciate it.
ANYWHO! Two more dates and then I am potentially…done? Touring? They’re both very soon! This weekend and next Monday in DC and New Orleans! See you there?
WASHINGTON DC:
NEW ORLEANS, LA:
If you DON’T live in one of those cities: you can still enjoy a copy or two of Boys Weekend, available everywhere.
