Hello beloved newsletter subscribers. I hope you are staying cool! It’s been preposterously hot here in “da big apple” new york city greatest city in the world (go knicks). It finally cooled off yesterday a little bit and so spirits are high here at Lubchansky HQ.
Chazzerei
I went to San Diego Comic Con for about 40? hours and it was completely exhausting! What a wonderful and strange time, I’ve truly never experienced something on that scale. I had a couple panels and a signing, and the turnout was wonderful I think – thanks to everyone who came. More importantly:
Frankly, I’m overwhelmed! This was the third time (I think) the Nib was up, and the fourth time a project I was a co-editor/contributor on was nominated, and it was probably our last shot as a publication. Pretty cool, in my opinion!

Mattie’s Beach Life Corner
This week’s “Corner” Corner is brief. Have you guys been to the beach? I’ve been going to the beach a lot lately. Here in NYC (the big apple, i’m walkin’ here) you can take public transit there (suck it, robert moses, you dead bitch!) and it’s incredible. I bought a little pop-up cabana and it’s changed my life. Very soothing!

Odds and Ends
Big fat nothing this month! Did you know my book Boys Weekend is available wherever fine books are sold, however? That’s still true. If you don’t know where to get it, my local store The Astoria Bookshop, has signed copies and will ship one to you!
